Mountaineering Camps are part of the Curriculum at GSIS. Our qualified (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarakhand) instructors teach the students practical aspects of Knot making, Jumaring, Rappeling, Tent pitching and other aspects of mountaineering.
The students are taken class wise for Trekking and all the other above mentioned aspects to forests and hills nearby. This activity culminates in 3 days, 2 nights camping at our Farm in Gudalur.
