AFTER THE WINTER BREAK.....

ACADEMIC COUNCIL MEETING

The Academic Council meeting was held on 20 January, 2012. This was chaired by the Principal. Matters relating to new admissions, reporting of existing students, dates of major events, time table, Academic, Co-curricular and Administration staff details were reviewed and discussed.

ORIENTATION PROGRAM

An Orientation Programme was conducted for all Academic, Co-curricular Staff on 21 and 22 January at the Palada Campus. In his opening address, Dr. P.C. Thomas, Principal welcomed all the Staff exhorted them to assist the students in every possible way to improve their academic abilities, behaviour and personality. He also encouraged the staff to improve their own knowledge by reading newly published books and so on. The Orientation Programme also had session by

SCHOOL REOPENING

The School reopened after winter vacation on 25 January, 2012. All students reported back after a fun-filled break.

The ICSE batch of Std X and the ISC & IB batches of XII however reported earlier on 6 January, 2012. These students have been having special classes and a series of revision exams from then on.

During the vacation the School Engineering team did a thorough job of all maintenance works.













MESS MEETING

A Mess Meeting chaired by Mrs. Elsamma Thomas, Senior Vice Principal was conducted on 26 January, 2012. This was attended by the Vice Principal (Academics), Vice Principal (Administration), Manager – Food & Beverage, Director of Counselling, Coordinators, Chefs of Non-Vegetarian, Vegetarian and Fernhill Campus Kitchen Mess Managers of all the Dining Halls and the Storekeeper.

The menu for the next 5 weeks was reviewed and the provisioning of all groceries, vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs and milk checked.

The Senior Vice - Principal specially emphasized on the highest standards of hygiene to be maintained while cooking and serving food.

PREFECTS COUNCIL MEETING

The Prefects Council Meeting was held on 28 January, 2012. This was chaired by the Principal. The Senior Vice Principal – Academics, Vice Principal – Administration, Coordinators, Director of Counselling, Director of Activities, Counsellors, Head of the Department Physical Education, Campus Supervisor, Mess Managers, Manager – Food & Beverage, Chefs were present. All the Prefects, the School Captain and other student office bearers were also present. The Principal reviewed with the students the functioning of all administrative functions of the School. New requirement of the students was sought and its feasibility of implementation studied.
