In view of World Water Day (22nd of March), the
students of GSIS in liaison with the Citizen Voluntary Group Make Ooty
Beautiful (MOB) and in partnership with the State Government celebrated the
cultural significance of Ooty Lake and its positive economic and ecological
implications for our town.
The schools of Ooty, put up a cultural event on the banks of the
lake itself.
The event took place in Ooty Boat House and Mr. C.V. Ranganathar
IFS (Retd), former Indian Diplomat was the chief guest of the event.
18 schools from the district participated in events and
presented skits, dances and poster presentations.
